Plant Bagger - Operator
Perform all pre-shift and safety inspections of assigned equipment and complete daily inspection reports.
Obey all safety operating and work guidelines.
Operate equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Oversee all start-up, continual operation and shutdown of the process
Make operating adjustments as necessary to achieve quality and productivity targets.
Operate equipment efficiently and accurately complete daily production reports, which include accurate documentation of all downtime.
Care of equipment including changing mica screens when necessary and other checks as needed.
Report condition of equipment and maintenance needs to supervisor, plus prepare maintenance work orders.
Keep assigned pieces of equipment and work areas clean, plus keep all equipment in good working condition.
All other duties as assigned within production department by supervisor.
Conduct finished product sampling and analysis for in process quality control.
Load customer trucks with product in accordance with loading and shipping procedures.
Processing Equipment Involved:
Bucket Elevators, Belt Conveyors, Rotary Dryer, Air Classifier, Sifters.
Paper & Bulk Bag Packaging Equipment.
Also must be able to operate small skid steer loader, front end loader and warehouse forklift.
Working Conditions:
Indoors and Outdoors in various weather conditions
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in operating large moving machinery in a manufacturing environment required.
Skills Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate and monitor all processing equipment.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate and monitor all bagging equipment.
Communications skills including verbal, non-verbal, listening, interpreting and understanding instructions.
Consulting effectively with coworkers concerning work and schedules.
Satisfactory Attendance & Performance Records.
Ability to work as part of a Kings Mountain team.
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Other Required Activities:
Sitting, climbing, stooping, lifting (up to 50lbs), checking, visual inspection, hearing, listening, operation in a safe manner according to work instructions
