Job Description

As a Plant Accountant at our Jackson Center, OH, location, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. You will support key accounting functions while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the full general ledger process, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

  • Record, classify, and post day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Oversee monthly physical inventory and valuation processes, ensuring alignment with the perpetual inventory system

  • Analyze bills of materials (BOM) to ensure costing accuracy and proper item coding

  • Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and working capital performance

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and negative impacts to the P&L, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Working knowledge of GAAP

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
