Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning team in preparing and updating project schedules
  • Develop and maintain the baseline schedule, including cost and resource loading
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with approved timelines
  • Identify delays, risks, and deviations, and propose mitigation actions
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards for management
  • Conduct delay analysis and support EOT claims preparation
  • Coordinate with:
    • Engineering for design deliverables (EDL)
    • Supply Chain for procurement schedules
    • Construction team for site progress
  • Ensure integration between time, cost, and risk management
  • Review subcontractors’ schedules and ensure alignment with the master schedule
  • Support management in decision-making by providing realistic forecasts
  • Lead planning meetings and ensure proper communication across all stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and tools

Qualifications

Professional Experience Required

  • Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling (preferably in EPC, construction, or infrastructure projects)
  • At least 1–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong background in time scheduling and project reporting
  • Experience in handling Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders such as Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams

Technical Skills Required

  • advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project and scheduling tools
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Critical Path Method (CPM)
    • Earned Value Management (EVM)
    • Resource and cost loading
  • Experience in delay analysis techniques (e.g., TIA, Window analysis, Impacted As-Planned)
  • Strong skills in Excel (advanced formulas, dashboards, reporting)
  • Ability to develop and review:
    • Baseline schedules
    • Recovery/acceleration plans
    • Progress measurement systems
  • Knowledge of contractual terms (FIDIC or similar) is an advantage
