SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION MALAYSIA BERHAD

1. Plan, collaborate, and to align with various stakeholders with head office, regional office and locally for business strategies, controls, policies and procedures.
2. Support superior in managing project that impact to Bank’s business or Bank’s wide fulfilment/initiatives.
3. Handle query from Planning Department of other SMBC offices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement and execute business strategies and necessary controls in cooperation with appropriate stakeholders.
2. Undertake various periodical and ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
3. Closely monitor the latest regulatory requirement from time to time and manage speedily on various matters accordingly with holistic view.
4. Develop and control on relevant internal policies and procedures.
5. Lead and support bank-wide projects and iniatives related to the Bank’s strategy and governance, in colleaboration with various stakeholders including the head office, regional office, colleagues accross the front, middle and back offices.
6. Prepare progress reports and present to management on the status of regulatory fulfilment project.
7. Prepare various materials, reports for Senior Management, Management or Head Office.
8. Proactively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues, drive improvement and further strenghten the Bank’s business and governance.
9. Data steward of Planning Department for data management fulfilment.
10. Support internal department’s concerns and issues to further drive the Bank’s business.
11. Support operations planning and data management if necessary, with good understanding of the Bank’s actual operations workflows.
12. Manage various matters under instruction by superior and Head of Planning Department.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Academic Qualification (Degree / Diploma etc.) / Professional Qualification / Certification

1. Degree holder in any related fields.

Working Experience (Years / Type)

1. At least 3 years experience in bank or financial institution.
2. Preferably has experienced in front or back office and project management for 3 years.

Special Skills Required

1. Well versed and experienced in banking operations.
2. Good interpersonal and problem solving skills, strong ownership, adaptability to change and passionate in new tasks/initiatives.
3. Ability to collaborate with various internal department and external stakeholders.
4. Advance knowledge in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
5. Fluent in business level of English and Japanese is mandatory.
