GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:

This position plays a crucial role in the management of a company's breeding operations. Their primary purpose is to streamline the logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, achieving this by analyzing and interpreting logistics data, identifying trends and issues within the supply chain, and recommending solutions to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Logistics Analysts will manage data entry, standardization, connectivity and visualization for the Global Planning & Logistics process creating work order & logistics for On Time set creation, Seed Logistics, Seed Processing, Seed Inventory & Distribution, laboratory project creation canvasing multiple crops and regions. Through their expertise, Logistics Analysts contribute significantly to the overall strategic planning and execution of Precision Breeding activities, making them indispensable to organizations aiming for operational excellence and competitive advantage in their respective industries.

Currently, there are two open positions for this role.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

  • Enhance product workflow by developing, analyzing, and coordinating logistics plans that impact production, distribution, inventory, and crop research pipelines.
  • Execute work orders to support planning and forecasting of resources for crop research pipelines.
  • Manage data entry, standardization, connectivity, and visualization for Global Planning & Logistics processes.
  • Support work order and logistics activities related to on-time set creation, seed logistics, seed processing, seed inventory and distribution, and laboratory project creation across multiple crops and regions.
  • Create, review, and update procedures for distribution and inventory management to improve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Identify trends, issues, and opportunities within logistics and supply chain data, recommending solutions to improve performance.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

Required:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, data analysis, agriculture, biotechnology, research operations, or a related field.
  • Experience in logistics, operations, data analysis, research support, or a related area.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and other tools used to analyze large data sets.
  • Advanced English proficiency for conversation, reading, and writing.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within logistics, planning, inventory management, or related operational fields.
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple processes, follow pre-established guidelines, and perform tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to data quality, accuracy, and downstream planning impact.
  • Ability to work under supervision, seek guidance when needed, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and overcoming obstacles.
  • Availability to work on-site one (1) day per week in São Jose dos Campos/SP - GBS site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis or visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, SQL, Pipeline Pilot, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • API consumption or development experience.
  • Previous experience in laboratory, research, breeding, agriculture, or biotechnology settings, including familiarity with field testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with writing, reviewing, or updating Standard Operating Procedures.
