Meet the team:

Our Planning team sits at the centre of Dexcom's manufacturing operations in Athenry, translating customer demand into executable production plans that ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams, we drive alignment across demand, capacity, inventory and supply to support operational excellence and the continued growth of Dexcom's European manufacturing operations.

As the Planning Manager you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring that manufacturing plans align with customer demand, available capacity, material availability and strategic business goals while supporting Dexcom's commitment to delivering life-changing products to customers worldwide. This role will serve as the primary planning interface for S&OP, S&OE and Integrated Business Planning processes across the site.

Where you come in:

  • You will lead, coach and develop the Athenry Planning team to support current operations and future site growth.

  • You will own and govern the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) process.

  • You will ensure alignment between forecasted demand, supply capability, manufacturing capacity and inventory strategies.

  • You will lead development, consolidation, communication and execution of production and supply plans.

  • You will serve as the primary planning representative for site S&OP, S&OE and Integrated Business Planning activities.

  • You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Finance and Global Supply Chain teams.

  • You will establish and maintain finite and rough-cut capacity planning processes to support operational decision making.

  • You will drive planning process maturity and ensure adherence to planning standards and governance requirements.

  • You will manage planning risks, identify constraints and develop mitigation plans to protect customer service and production commitments.

  • You will support new product introductions, site transfers, commercial launches and supply chain transformation initiatives.

  • You will lead inventory optimisation strategies across raw materials, WIP and finished goods while maintaining service objectives.

  • You will develop planning metrics and performance dashboards to drive continuous improvement.

  • You will ensure ERP and planning system data integrity, planning parameter governance and schedule discipline.

  • You will lead escalation management regarding shortages, capacity constraints, demand changes and supply disruptions.

  • You will drive implementation of best-in-class planning methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.

What makes you successful:

  • You have strong leadership and team development experience.

  • You have experience managing planning functions within a manufacturing environment.

  • You have strong knowledge of MPS, Capacity Planning, S&OP, Demand & Supply Planning, and Inventory Management.

  • You have experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.

  • You have a strong understanding of manufacturing planning processes.

  • You have advanced analytical and Excel skills.

  • You have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • You have strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • You can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You demonstrate strong business acumen and a customer-focused mindset.

  • You have experience driving process improvement and organisational change.

Preferred experience but not required:

  • You have experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

  • You have experience with Oracle Fusion Planning and/or Oracle Supply Planning.

  • You have implemented Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.

  • You have supported manufacturing scale-up or greenfield operations.

  • You have led planning transformation initiatives.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline with 8-12 years of industry experience and 2-5 years of previous people management experience.

Preferred Certificates:

  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP or equivalent).

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
