Job Description

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) is a full-service engine overhaul and repair station located at the Helsinki International Airport in Vantaa. GATES provides comprehensive commercial engine services including repair and overhaul services for General Electric and CFM International engines. 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Planning Manager to lead all planning and scheduling activities within our organization. This role focuses on building efficient planning processes, optimizing production flow, and ensuring maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer, OEM, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring strong aviation MRO planning expertise, leadership capability, and a continuous improvement mindset to support operational excellence in a safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation, development, and continuous improvement of Production planning and scheduling processes.
  • Develop engine workscope planning and detailed maintenance scheduling process to support efficient shop operations and turnaround times (TAT).
  • Prioritize and adjust schedules based on operational changes, customer requirements, and shop findings.
  • Coordinate Planning activities across organization and ensure efficient end to end planning process
  • Monitor schedule adherence, identify bottlenecks, and drive corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Support ERP/MRO system development, planning tools, and automation initiatives.
  • Conduct workload forecasting and support capacity, staffing, and resource planning.
  • Lead and develop the Planning team while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Production Planning, MRO planning, or aviation maintenance operations, including leadership responsibility.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing Production Planning strategies, processes, and operational controls within an engine MRO environment.
  • In-depth understanding of OEM maintenance requirements, aviation regulations, airworthiness directives, and maintenance planning principles.
  • Experience leading process development, operational improvement, and automation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and operational decision-making capabilities.
