Role purpose:
The Planning Manager (CP & FC) is responsible for leading end-to-end Supply planning for Pakistan to ensure optimal product availability, demand–supply alignment, inventory health, and achievement of business targets for Crop Protection and Seeds (Field Crops). The role acts as a key interface between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Regional/Global Planning, driving S&OP excellence and supporting Syngenta’s growth, service, and working capital objectives.

- The Planning Manager (CP & FC) is responsible for leading end-to-end Supply planning for Pakistan to ensure optimal product availability, demand–supply alignment, inventory health, and achievement of business targets for Crop Protection and Seeds (Field Crops). The role acts as a key interface between Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Regional/Global Planning, driving S&OP excellence and supporting Syngenta’s growth, service, and working capital objectives.
Key Objectives:
- Lead country supply planning process across all crop protection and Field crop portfolios.
- Provide strategic leadership for country supply planning, ensuring reliable product availability in line with business priorities, crop seasons, and market dynamics. Own the end-to-end country supply plan and ensure alignment with regional and global supply strategies.
- Lead the country supply S&OP process for Crop Protection and Seeds (Field crops). Develop and present supply scenarios, risks, and trade-offs to enable informed leadership decisions and ensure alignment between commercial, supply capability and finance.
- Proactively identify supply risks, capacity constraints, and regulatory/external disruptions. Drive mitigation strategies, including prioritization, reallocation, and contingency planning, to protect service during critical seasons.
- Oversee close working with country FF&P plant and to align supply plans with production capacity and operational constraints, ensuring timely response to market needs while balancing service, cost, and inventory.
- Drive Strong coordination with country primary logistics to stay abreast with import plans, potential delays and mitigatation plans.
- Provide strategic oversight of inventory levels to balance service and working capital objectives. Drive actions to manage slow-moving, excess, and expiry-risk stocks and support effective product lifecycle management.
- Act as the primary country interface with regional and global supply planning teams. Ensure timely communication of country requirements, constraints, and priorities, and support alignment with manufacturing, sourcing, and network strategies.
- Enable robust planning for new product launches, portfolio changes, and growth initiatives from a supply planning perspective. Ensure supply readiness aligned with regulatory, stewardship, and quality requirements.
- Monitor supply planning performance through agreed KPIs and ensure adherence to global CP planning standards, processes, and governance. Drive continuous improvement in planning effectiveness, transparency, and decision quality.
- Drive effective usage of planning tools (APO, Qlik etc) to ensure system based planning.
Qualifications
- 5 – 7 years in planning fucntion.
