What you would do as our Planning & Logistics Specialist

Reporting to the relevant department manager, you will play a key role in planning purchasing activities and coordinating logistics operations with suppliers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders. You will ensure the smooth flow of materials and shipments while helping business continuity through proactive problem-solving and effective supplier management.

You would be also responsible for:

  • Managing purchasing planning activities and issuing purchase orders to assist production and business needs.
  • Coordinating with international suppliers, purchasing teams, and manufacturing plants to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and following up on deliveries, proactively managing delays and urgent situations.
  • Managing inbound shipments, particularly from APAC suppliers, including coordination with freight forwarders and customs authorities.
  • Maintaining accurate shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with import/export and logistics processes.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, logistics, or a similar supply chain role within an international environment.
  • Has experience working with overseas suppliers, particularly across the APAC region, and is familiar with international transportation and customs processes.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Communicates fluently in Italian and has a good command of written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using AS400 is required.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
