The Planning Leader is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by aligning customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, and operational resources. This role ensures on-time customer deliveries, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements applicable to the electronics, medical device, aerospace, and defense industries.


What You Will Do

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Balance customer demand with available manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate production scheduling activities considering capacity, material availability, and business priorities.
  • Monitor and adjust production plans based on demand fluctuations and operational constraints.
  • Ensure production schedules support customer delivery commitments and business objectives.
  • Analyze customer forecasts and demand requirements.
  • Participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Identify significant demand changes and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers regarding schedule changes and requirements.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Materials, and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor critical components and supply chain risks.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Support inventory reduction initiatives without negatively impacting customer commitments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer, certification, and regulatory audits.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics or Related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience on Maquiladoras in areas as Production Planning, Material Planning, Demand Planning, etc.
  • 2 to 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent use of Office (Word, Excel, Power BI etc).
  • Teamwork, Excellent customer service, Management and Conflict Resolution.
  • Knowledge of Glovia or/ and Intelex system.
  • Fluency in English (80%-90%)
