About the Project

The Linewide Alliance, comprising John Holland, Alstom, RATP Dev, KBR and WSP, are excited to be delivering the transformative Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East Linewide package.

When SRL opens, the new rail services for passengers will also be delivered by, a venture between RATP Dev and John Holland to operate and maintain the franchise for 15 years from 2035, to be known as TransitLinx.

The Alliance will deliver a world-class, service-proven driverless metro system that sets new benchmarks for comfort, safety, and reliability for Melbourne.

SRL is a transport and urban planning project that will deliver world-class public transport, reduce travel times, and support the delivery of more homes and housing.

About the Role

For projects – to establish and manage the process of planning, creating detail programmes, and monitoring performance to deliver the best quality projects on time and budget in accordance

with John Holland procedures over the full project lifecycle.

What you will do;

• Implement planning strategies and audits / reviews for projects.
• Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with JH policies and procedures.
• Ensure monitoring and reporting of Planning processes are successfully set-up and implemented on projects.
• Highlight any issues that may impact the effective, efficient and professional planning resources and support to the project including implementing standard processes and reports.
• Interface with project team, project partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures.
• Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and SQE.
• Support the implementation of project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality (project controls & earned value). Ensure that planning & controls reports generated across the project provide maximum cost and time forecasting certainty for project.
• Advise Project Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes
• Develop integrated design, construction and completions programmes that reflect agreed methodologies and identify key activities, milestones and constraints. Document the programmes using the company’s procedures and in accordance with client’s particular requirements.
• Coordinate detailed reviews of the project program with delivery teams. Consolidate and compile project program reports including Schedule Risk Analysis.

What we are looking for;

Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated major projects experience in construction, Engineering, Planning and Project Controls.

Demonstrated application of the principles of planning - Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts, Program Forensic Analysis, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis.

Strong organisational and communication skills.
