Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas industry to join our client's team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of successful project planning and execution in the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring they are aligned with project objectives and deadlines
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays, and develop mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurate and achievable
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues that may impact project timelines
• Prepare progress reports and present them to project stakeholders
• Utilize project management software and tools to track progress and make necessary adjustments to project plans
• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in project planning and execution
• Conduct cost analysis and budgeting to ensure project stays within budget constraints
• Mentor and train junior planning engineers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on fabrication, modular building, and EPC projects
• Proven track record of successful project planning and execution
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
