We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with airport operations expertise to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing comprehensive project plans for airport infrastructure, terminal expansions, and ground operations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and a proven track record in airport-related planning initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones for airport infrastructure and operational projects
  • Analyze project requirements and constraints to create realistic, achievable planning strategies
  • Coordinate resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project delays or complications
  • Prepare and present comprehensive planning reports and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Monitor project progress against established baselines and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Manage budget forecasting and cost control measures throughout project lifecycle
  • Utilize project management software and planning tools to track and communicate project status
  • Ensure compliance with airport operational standards, safety regulations, and aviation industry requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational optimization within airport planning functions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of planning engineering experience, with at least 3 years in airport or aviation related projects
  • Proven expertise in airport operations, terminal planning, runway development, or ground handling operations
  • Advanced proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software and planning visualization tools
  • Demonstrated experience with resource scheduling, budget management, and cost control
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of airport safety standards, aviation regulations, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to regional operational requirements
  • Preferred: Experience with airport expansion projects or terminal modernization initiatives
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction standards and local regulatory requirements
