Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with strong experience in interior fit-out and construction projects . The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, preparing reports, and coordinating with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within the planned schedule. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in fit-out projects and be comfortable working with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed project schedules and baseline programs for interior fit-out and construction projects. Prepare and update project plans in line with project requirements, drawings, BOQs, and execution strategies. Monitor daily and weekly project progress against the approved schedule. Track project milestones, critical activities, and overall project performance. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and procurement teams. Identify delays, potential risks, and schedule constraints and recommend corrective actions. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients. Maintain project trackers, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and recovery programs. Prepare and monitor 2-week/3-week look-ahead schedules . Assist in resource planning and allocation based on project requirements. Monitor procurement and material delivery schedules to ensure timely availability at site. Review project progress and coordinate with site teams to ensure planned activities are achieved. Assist in preparing delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) documentation, and recovery schedules where required. Attend project coordination and progress meetings and provide relevant planning updates. Maintain proper records of project schedules, revisions, progress reports, and related documentation. Ensure project activities are aligned with contractual requirements and approved timelines. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering , or a related field. 3–7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction, interior fit-out, or contracting companies. Strong experience in interior fit-out projects is mandatory/preferred. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project . Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting. Experience preparing baseline programs, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and recovery programs. Understanding of construction and fit-out project activities, sequencing, and dependencies. Experience coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. Good understanding of project timelines, critical paths, and resource requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel . Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills. UAE experience in construction/interior fit-out is an advantage
