Job Description

Fraport Greece is currently looking for a caliber Planning & Development Engineer for the Design and Development Team, who will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and developing effective technical solutions, in collaboration with other FG Engineers and external Partners. The positions require a strong knowledge of the relevant Engineering discipline and the ability to develop ideas to address complex design problems.

The role is located in our HQ premises in Marousi.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities

  • Categorize and organize design work, support design production by elaborating/analyzing the technical requirements of Projects and developing concepts and solutions.
  • Interpret and organize project requirements from various Departments and support Planning & Development’s Projects.
  • Select appropriate Consultants for the various requirements and communicate effectively with external partners and consultants.
  • Coordinates design process with other engineering sectors’ stakeholders.
  • Research compliance with safety regulations and building codes for the various Projects.
  • Develop and maintain streamlined and comprehensive planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for all Projects.
  • Work closely with Senior Management to develop strategic plans for development, project investment, and scheduling.
  • Research and issue reports, develop presentations to various stakeholders regarding the requirements of Projects.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Diploma (TEI) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Five to seven years of previous professional experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English and Greek, oral and written, at a professional corporate level.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office tools, AutoCAD).
  • Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).

On 11th April 2017 full payment of the €1.234 billion upfront concession fee was made by Fraport Greece in tandem with the transfer of operations at the 14 airports for a period of 40 years.

In tandem with the start-up of its concession for managing the eleven island and the three mainland airports across Greece, Fraport Greece realized a comprehensive plan for the modernization and development of the airports.

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.

The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
