Overview
The Planning Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal operations, ensuring customer demand, production schedules, and delivery commitments are aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, coordinating production planning activities, communicating schedule changes, monitoring program performance, and driving on-time delivery while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
The Planning Account Manager partners closely with production, supply chain, engineering, quality, and program management teams to ensure customer requirements are executed efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Manage customer forecasts, purchase orders, and delivery requirements.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer commitments.
- Coordinate demand planning activities with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
- Monitor production progress and proactively address schedule risks.
- Communicate delivery status, schedule changes, and potential delays to customers.
- Lead customer meetings related to production schedules, material availability, and delivery performance.
- Analyze capacity, inventory, and lead-time constraints impacting customer orders.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to resolve shortages and bottlenecks.
- Support sales, business development, and contract review activities.
- Track key performance indicators including on-time delivery, backlog, and schedule adherence.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate information within ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications
Education:
Required
- Technical Knowledge and Experience
Preferred
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, account management, customer service, scheduling, program management, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
