Job Title: Planner/Scheduler I-Sr

This position will be filled as a Planner/Schedule Coordinator, Planner/Schedule Coordinator II, or Planner/Schedule Coordinator, Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
PURPOSE:
Manages the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Transmission System, Secures available manpower and schedules activities in accordance with Transmission’s Work Management System, Performs long range planning for outage maintenance tasks, develops integrated outage schedules for all outage tasks, and schedules emergent repairs to the Transmission System, Ensures all work is completed in accordance with Entergy procedures and within compliance guidelines (SoX), Ensures all SERC related work tasks are scheduled and completed within required periodicity; and all documentation is completed, Works with Grid Engineers and Project Managers in planning and scheduling substation capital construction projects, Performs long range planning for construction projects that require scheduled outages and develops integrated outage schedules for all outage tasks, Interfaces with internal groups such as Project Management and Construction, Major Accounts, Asset Management, Transmission Control Center, Transmission Design Engineering, Distribution Operations Center, Distribution Operations, and Transmission Operational Planning, Additionally, works with external customers and other utilities to schedule work.

Minimum Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
Pl/Sc Coord: an Associate degree: 0 - 4 years of experience in a related field or function; without an Associate degree: at least 2 -4 years of experience in a related field or function
Pl/Sc Coord II: At least 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field or function with an Associate degree: 4 - 6 years of experience in a related field or function; without an Associate degree: at least 6 years of experience in a related field or function
Pl/Sc Coord Sr: At least 6 years of experience in a related field or function with an Associate degree: 6+ years of experience in a related field or function; without an Associate degree: 8+ years of experience in a related field or function
Preferred At least 2 years of operational experience in the construction, power plant or utility sector
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency with current computer-based business applications
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications
Self-motivated and dependable team player
Ability to learn new software systems quickly
Preferred
Experience in substation or relay maintenance and construction
Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance and construction activities,
Excellent computer technical skills
Knowledge of/experience with Click, Maximo, and TOMS
Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures applicable to the Business Unit
