* This position will be filled as a Pl/Sc Coord I, Pl/Sc Coord II, or Pl/Sc Coord Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. *

PURPOSE

Manages the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Transmission System. Secures available manpower and schedule activities in accordance with Transmission’s Work Management System. Performs long range planning for outage maintenance tasks, develops integrated outage schedules for all outage tasks, and schedules emergent repairs to the Transmission System. Ensures all work is completed in accordance with Entergy procedures and within compliance guidelines (SoX). Ensures all SERC related work tasks are scheduled and completed within required periodicity; and the all documentation is completed.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all maintenance planning activities to ensure the correct outage and manpower resources are available to support preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities prior to them being scheduled.
  • Manages, prioritizes and schedules all maintenance activities for their respective Grid. Builds weekly maintenance schedules, manages the maintenance backlog and identifies any emergent work that requires immediate attention.
  • Maintains the Substation Work Management System (SWMS) and Line Work Management System (LWMS) for the Grid. Ensures all outstanding work is documented with a current work request detailing the required scope of work. Ensures all completed work requests are closed out showing a detailed description of work completed and man hours logged against each task.
  • Performs long range planning for outage preventive/corrective maintenance task. Develops annual plans that lay out the intended execution of all grid portfolio tasks. Develops outage work schedules and manages contracts, contractors and budgets associated with this work.
  • Plans and schedules Capital Project Portfolio for the Grids to include resource allocation , outage requests, and material procurment.
  • Schedules and coordinates all SERC required maintenance tasks and ensures proper close-out of the work tasks.
  • Performs long range planning and coordination with major industrial customers and Nuclear Power Plants to perform all required preventative and corrective maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience desired

Minimum experience required of the position

Pl/Sc Coord I: 2-4 years of operational experience in the construction, power plant or utility sector

Pl/Sc Coord II: 4-6 years of operational experience in the construction, power plant or utility sector

Pl/Sc Coord Sr: At least 6 of years of operational experience in the construction, power plant or utility sector.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Proficiency with current computer based business applications
