This position is responsible for performing Planning & Scheduling activities for Large EPC projects in the metals & mining sector. As a member of the Project Controls Team, you will assist in the preparation of Project Controls activities for a projects or assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Work Breakdown and Schedule Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract
  • Building logic driven schedules using CPM
  • Manage and mitigate schedule change/schedule adherence
  • Identify trends and deviations and recommend corrective courses of action
  • Maintain the established project schedule program and prepare schedule status reports
  • Participate in the change management process, identifying schedule impact analysis
  • Analyze schedule data and proactively seek resolution to variances from the project baseline
  • Ensure project conforms with Fluor project execution practices
  • Other related duties may be assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

  • Experience with:
      • Baseline development
      • Schedule updates and revisions
      • Recovery / acceleration plans
  • Prior experience managing schedule change management
  • Ability to analyze schedule data and proactively find resolution to variances from the project baseline
  • Experience Identifying trends and deviations and recommending corrective courses of action
  • Knowledge of resource loading, leveling and schedule analysis
  • Willing to do business trips to project sites or accept field assignments
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or like scheduling tool

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Acumen Fuse

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
