Job Description

Production Control drives construction through work paper and material and works hand in hand with Operations to complete submarine construction. Multiple positions are available in support of CLB Production Control. The successful candidate will be required to perform Production Control functions which include, but are not limited to, Work Order management, software and hardware expediting in support of Work Order schedules, change processing, and work completion close-out. In order to perform these functions, the successful candidate will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management.

This position requires a self-motivated person with attention to detail and the desire to work in a fast paced high volume atmosphere. Candidate will be responsible for the successful scheduling, manufacturing, construction and delivery of complex components within a scheduled time frame. The ability to adjust priorities daily is a necessary trait. Successful candidate will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement as they apply to their position.

This is an onsite position Monday - Friday with openings for both 1st 6am-2:30pm & 2nd shift 3pm-11:30pm.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in Trade, Military, Planning/Production Control Role, Inventory Management, Operations Management, Material Control or similar

Preferred:

  • Trade Expertise: Strong background in Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, or ISM/OSM disciplines
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with ARTEMIS, MRPII, TeamCenter, EWP/PCM, and/or advanced Excel (Pivot Tables)

Skills

  • Blueprint Expert: You can read and interpret complex shipboard blueprints with precision
  • Communicator: You can translate technical data into clear updates for both leadership and the crew
