The Media Planner,Digital Performance Mediawill own the day-to-day logistics in the planning, implementing and maintaining ofPerformance Mediacampaigns, knowledge should beexpandacross strategy planning of search, programmatic, social, affiliate, and app marketing through a performance lens. Ultimately, thisrole drives innovation at the campaignlevel, andcultivates key partnerships to deliver the best digital media opportunities to the client.This individual will work closely withPerformance Media Activation teams, including the Analytics teams across PM and Horizon general marketThe planner should have the ability tosynthesizeperformancedata,applying learnings to media plans andbeing able to contribute to create a performance focused media strategy, whileowning elements of planning, strategy, and collaborating with other internal channel stakeholders.

WhatYou’llDo
Strategy– 30%

  • Review Performance Media activation recommendations and be able to contribute to creating a wholistic performance-focused media plan

  • Contribute to recommendations on where to invest client media dollars across the performance media channels

  • Ability to contribute to reporting insights and create recommendations from reporting data from performance media channels that ties back to client business goals

  • Maintain accuracy ofinsertion orders within internal systems tool to reserve advertising space andis responsible foraccuracy of plan details and confirmation of delivery ensuring proper protocol

  • Collaborate with assistant planners, senior planners,and supervisors for strategy and plan development

  • Employ Horizon suite of planning,evaluationand buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plandevelopmentand reporting

  • Participateinteam brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development

  • Monitor trends, tools,opportunitiesand applications in biddable environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge in conjunction with performance teams

  • Createand present media specific documents such asmedia plans,objectivesand strategies decks, and other related functions

Campaign Management & Execution– 10%

  • Overseetrafficking and site tagging, follow through to ensuresites are enabled,andfunctioning properly, QA’ing all pixels

  • Issue specs documents and ensureall materials are received from creative agencychannel teams

  • Oversee creation ofcampaign post launch information such as screenshots,linksand placement information todemonstrateproof of placement for clients

  • Advise onpost campaign reconciliation andbilling

Reporting & Analysis-40%

  • Monitor and report weekly on biddableanddirectchannel performance, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges

  • Parse through large datasets to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions anddiscoveractionable implications

  • Collaborate withchannel teams, including analyticsteamstoaggregate dataand ensure standardizationacross portfolio of accounts

  • Responsible for providing datafor dashboardsExcel trackers, as needed by account,ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown

Relationship Management-20%

  • Collaborate with Senior PlannerorSupervisor toidentifyproblems and recommend solutions

  • Keep Senior Planner and Supervisor updated on the status and timing of deliverables

  • Maintain relationships with key external partners and vendors from to ensure execution timelines

  • Manage communication about performance goals and pacing

  • Engage and effectively interact with other Horizon departments,i.e.Business Solutions, Traffic, Operations

  • Apply knowledge of current/previousclients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationships

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 1+ yearspreviousdigital media experiencewithaperformance media background

  • Basic knowledge of advanced analytics and performance media

  • Experience with Digital Media Management Platforms (i.e.Prisma)

  • Familiaritywith marketing principles,analyticsand concepts

  • Basic knowledge ofend to endcampaign execution

  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be appliedrelativeto the media planning process

  • Experience with third party ad servers

  • Familiarity with biddable channels and partner direct

Salary Range

$66,300.00 - $85,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
