Job Description

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed job plans for mechanical maintenance activities including manpower, tools, materials, and safety requirements.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintenance schedules in coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure timely issuance of work orders and ensure proper closure with accurate feedback.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance activities.
• Maintain and update maintenance task lists, checklists, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and maintenance best practices.

Resource & Spare Parts Coordination

• Identify critical spare parts and ensure timely availability by coordinating with stores and procurement.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels while managing cost and avoiding stockouts.
• Track consumption of materials and provide analytical reports for cost optimization.

Documentation & CMMS Management

• Maintain accurate records of work orders, job histories, breakdown analyses, and maintenance KPIs.
• Update CMMS/ERP systems with job plans, schedules, and equipment data.
• Analyze equipment history to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Shutdown & Turnaround Management

• Prepare detailed shutdown plans including work scope, job sequencing, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
• Monitor shutdown progress, highlight deviations, and ensure timely completion.

Cross-functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for maintenance prioritization.
• Communicate schedules and ensure smooth execution of planned activities with minimal disruption to operations.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all planned jobs adhere to safety procedures, LOTO, risk assessments, and work permits.
• Include safety resources and PPE requirements in job plans.

• Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  • 3–7 years in mechanical maintenance planning (preferably in cement/steel/power/mining/heavy industry).
• Experience with CMMS/ERP-based maintenance planning is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
