Job Description

OPERATIONAL BUYER PROFESSIONAL – CASTINGS MX

Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand on a monthly basis, identify short- and medium-term variations, calculate production rates, and align production figures based on Capacity & Capability (C&C).
  • Develop and maintain Master Production Plans (MPPs).
  • Calculate and analyze Capacity & Capability (C&C) in the short and medium term, identify and monitor bottlenecks, determine resource requirements, and propose staffing needs by profile.
  • Define target WIP levels; perform weekly monitoring of WIP inventory, identify variances, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Monitor blocked material in WIP.
  • Conduct raw material and finished goods coverage analyses.
  • Review and adjust production release plans.
  • Release manufacturing orders (production, rework, and service orders).
  • Monitor delivery plans and communicate any risks or impacts to on-time delivery commitments.
  • Develop recovery plans for overdue orders in collaboration with Production.
  • Report and communicate the status of critical deliveries to internal and external customers.

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Planning function.

Required Knowledge and Software

  • Experience using MRP systems.
  • Capacity & Capability (C&C) management.
  • Production processes.
  • Inventory management.
  • Purchasing.
  • Logistics.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • SAP (preferred).

Languages

  • Advanced English.

Other Requirements

  • No active Performance Improvement Plan or pre-flight incidents during the current year.
