PlannerThe Role: Planner
The Planner is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling work orders to meet customer commitments in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. This role ensures that production activities are executed seamlessly according to plan. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, a digital mindset, and problem solving capabilities, with a demonstrated commitment to Entegris’ digital transformation efforts. The Planner will play a key role in identifying and implementing relevant technologies, training users, and driving cross-functional collaboration to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance operational visibility.
What You’ll Do:
• Fulfil customer commitments through well-coordinated and expedited production planning.
• Establish production schedules in close collaboration with work cell team members, ensuring effective coordination and follow-through to keep production on track.
• Work closely with the Buyer to ensure timely delivery of raw materials while meeting quality and cost requirements.
• Monitor inventory movements for semi-finished and finished goods.
• Collaborate with the Project team/Industrial Engineering (IE) on long-term planning to meet customer demand, including recommendations related to capital equipment purchases, floor layout changes, production methods, and material handling improvements.
• Ensure backflushing is completed by responsible personnel, and review work order variances before closing. Highlight any abnormalities.
• Uphold corporate strategies and values in all planning activities.
• Supervise planning clerks/planners to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Participate in project calls and workshops as required.
• Manage inventory and On-Time Shipment (OTS) performance to achieve targets.
What We Seek:
• Degree in Business Management or a related field.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to plastic parts and resin processes.
• Proven ability to meet work cell Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Strong commitment to achieving quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Solid knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
• Familiarity with product and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in SAP systems, PBW, and IBP is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14000).
