Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Day to Day Responsibility

- Responsible for developing and communicating demand requirements for external suppliers, for authorizing them to execute a build plan in support of Business requirements.
- Follow up suppliers on order acknowledgement, delivery plan and shipping schedule to ensure materials and products ordered could arrive on schedule.
- Support planner to well control material inventory value and level.
- Drive the continuous improvement for better material management and cost control and support localize the qualified products/vendors for better supply
- Deal with supplier material quality problems and communicate with QA.
- Follow up and maintaining Key metrics, performance, report based on collected data.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, purchasing management or relevant field of study, MBA is preferred.
- 5years working experience as buyer, experience in planning is a plus.

Required Skills, Desired Skills and Soft Skills

Required by Legal or QEHS:
- Know EHS relevant law and regulations
- Obey all company EHS rules (Include: Policy, Procedure, SOP and other requirements).

Required skills:
- Working experience in ERP system, SAP or other systems.
- High sense of responsibility and initiatives, self-motivated, good team player and the ability to work with a wide cross-section of people in various locations.
- Fluent oral and written English and mandarin
- Computer skills, Word, Excel and PPT skills
- Good communication and negotiation skill

Desired Skills:
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

Soft Skills:
- Good communication and negotiation skill.
- Good understanding of culture different between different countries.
