Parks and Facilities Planning conducts engineering design reviews and processes various development applications related to the planning, design and development of new and existing City parks, open spaces, community recreation and cultural facilities in urban, suburban and rural areas.
You are responsible to undertake or participate on a variety of assigned capital projects relating to the design, construction and/or revitalization of the City’s parks, open spaces, and recreation/cultural facilities, and provide related planning services.
Completion of 4 year university degree in urban and regional planning, leisure studies, landscape architecture or other relevant field.
Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in parks and recreation planning
Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) OR Landscape Architect (Full Member) with Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) is desirable
