We are looking for a Plan Reviewer I, II or III to ensure the delivery of quality projects on time for the District letting schedule.
The Odessa District is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated person with an engineering, design, or plan review background to join our plan review team! Our Plan Reviewers are responsible for the review and processing of the District's plans, estimates, and specification bid packages (PS&E) prior to letting.

Salary Plan/Grade:
Plan Reviewer I: B18 ($45,521 - 71,055)
Plan Reviewer II: B19 ($48,244 - 76,028)
Plan Reviewer III: B20 ($51,158 - 81,351)

Assists with departmental transportation planning-related activities by drafting or performing computer entry work in support of plans, specifications and estimates; or assisting in district/division level review of plans, specifications and estimates (PS & E), and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness: and ensuring compliance with state and federal design guidelines. In a district, provides support to the residencies during their plan preparation process. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Duties: Plan reviewer I
Assists engineers in the review of PS&E submissions to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
Assists in making corrections and/or revisions to plans and related documents.
Attends plan review conferences for future projects.
Corrects general notes, specification lists and estimates.
Prepares special specifications, special provisions, and supporting documents.
Processes PS&E revisions submitted by districts and divisions.
Provides utility companies and right-of-way appraisers with copies of plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience 2 years of experience in administrative support, design, drafting, engineering support, plan preparation or review, or related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
