About the Role

We are seeking detail‑focused, team‑oriented individuals to join our Claims & Wage Subsidy Team in a hybrid role based in Blackburn, Melbourne (2 days in office per week).

This head‑office support position plays a vital part in ensuring jobseekers receive the employment support they’re entitled to. You will review evidence, verify information, and complete compliance checks to support accurate and timely government claims.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting compliance checks on claims and supporting documentation
  • Contacting employers and employment consultants to verify evidence
  • Reviewing legislation and applying updates to claims processes
  • Submitting data into internal and government systems
  • Communicating professionally with stakeholders
  • Working confidently across multiple systems and administrative workflows


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast paced, data driven‑driven work and takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and compliance.


About You

You thrive in a high‑volume, highly detailed administrative environment and enjoy being part of a supportive team. You bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in claims or compliance within employment services or have worked in superannuation, insurance or other relevant inbound call centre environment
  • Are a quick learner who enjoys retaining new information
  • Are confident navigating multiple systems and working with data
  • Have solid Office 365 skills and strong numeracy
  • Are honest, transparent, and committed to quality
  • Hold a business qualification (Cert III or above) - desirable but not essential

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
