T he Placemen t Specialist leads the marketing process for renewals within the Risk Ma nagement Uni t

Job Responsibilit ies

• Leads the rene wal process, adhering to the esta blishe d rene wal workflow and timelines.
• Recomme nds cha nges to the renewal proces s tha t will result i n greater i nternal efficie ncy and excellent custome r service.
• Coordinate s a nd communica te s with internal partners throughout the marketing proces s to e nsure co nsistently high levels of client ser vice

• Meets with insured prior to renewal to o btain current information and identify exposure s
• De termi nes appropriate marke ts, carriers, and coverage s to quote for client needs.
• Se nds comple te d applicatio ns to carriers. Answers all carrier reques ts and questio ns until
• quotes are received.
• Completes a nalysis of quo tes and coverag es to determine options for proposal.
• Meets with insured to present pro posal. Provides guida nce in coverage selectio ns.
• Binds coverage as authorized by the client
• Crea tes executive summary o f renewal to share with internal partners.
• Updates Agency Management System with all submission notes and res ults.
• Q uo tes new lines of coverage mi d-term as neede d
• Per forms other specific duties and projects assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.

Education:

College degree preferred

Wo rk Ex perience:

A t leas t 5 years of related experie nce pre ferred

Pro fess ional CertificationsLicenses: P&C Lice nse

Knowledge, Skills and Abili ties:

• A bility to un derstand and analyz e commercial Lines coverage, marke ts, forms, and policies
  A bove ave rage mathematical skills
• S trong attention to details and accurac y
• S trong orga nizational skills and a bility to manage deadlines
• S trong ver ba l an d written communica tio n skills
• Working kno wle dge of compute rs a nd MS Office product s; working knowledge o f Sagitt a agency ma nagement system preferred

Spec ial Job Conditions

• E nviro nm ent in which constant deadlines exist
• Must be available to work o utside of reg ularly scheduled hours if necessary to m eet client needs and deadlin es
• Prol onged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Single-day regional travel required for client meetings
