Placement Specialist

Salary: $19.64 - $20.91

This position supports individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment. Responsibilities include assessing strengths and employment goals, assisting with job searches and interviews, providing on-the-job training and follow-along support, coordinating services with ACCES-VR and employers, and completing required documentation. The role also includes employer outreach and community networking to promote inclusive hiring. Work Location: Canandaigua, NY

Schedule: Full-time; M-F 8-4; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs. Some evening shifts could be required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake interviews and assessments; identify strengths, needs, and employment goals; and recommend appropriate services.
  • Teach and support skill development through individual or small-group instruction.
  • Assist people with job searches, resume development, interview preparation, and employer introductions; provide job leads and attend interviews as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least one (1) year of experience in rehabilitation, placement services, sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
