Expression of Interest: Placement Coordinator – Clinical Masters (Level B/C Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) – 0.60 – 0.80 FTE

The Cairnmillar Institute invites applications for the position of Placement Coordinator (Clinical Masters). This role provides an exciting opportunity for a registered psychologist with clinical endorsement and supervisory experience to contribute to the ongoing development and coordination of placements within our Master of Clinical Psychology program.

Working closely with the Course Coordinator and as part of the larger PC team, the Placement Coordinator will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with placement agencies, supervisors, and students.
  • Oversee the quality, compliance, and learning outcomes of placements in line with APAC and AHPRA requirements.
  • Contribute to the teaching, supervision, and professional development of postgraduate students.
  • Support the alignment of placement learning with the course’s academic and professional competencies.

This is an academic Level B (Lecturer) or Level C (Senior Lecturer) position, depending on experience, suited to an early-to-mid-career academic or clinician-educator seeking to expand their leadership in postgraduate clinical training.

Selection Criteria

  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Clinical Endorsement and current Board-Approved Supervisor status.
  • Experience supervising postgraduate students or coordinating placements.
  • Knowledge of APAC and AHPRA standards relevant to postgraduate clinical psychology training.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively with students, staff, and external partners.
