Hendrick Motorsports, a leader in the auto racing industry, is currently looking for a Pit Crew Performer.

Theprimary purpose of this position is to perform at a highspeed anddemonstrateagility in servicing the race carduring race pit stops, either as a tire changer, jackman,tire carrieror fueler.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Demonstrates extreme agility, speed, physical endurance, fine manipulation skills, and strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Responsible formaintainingdiet and weight control throughout the season.
  • Responsible for jumpingoffthe walland being able to sprintin front of or behind the car as it passes without getting hit.
  • Assistsin set-up and breakdown for track-related events.
  • Assistsinshopas needed.
  • Maybe responsible forcarrying and removing tires,jack, orfuel canduring the pit stop.

Attendance Expectations:

  • Ability to meet pit practice and pit stop preparation practice demands.Ability to travel a minimum of 75% annually.Ability toworka flexible schedule.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical ability togo over the wall and move quickly during the pitstopVision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)– fire suit, hearing protection.
  • Occasionally sits, crawls, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently reaches above shoulder, climbs, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls 40 pounds.
  • Constantlystands, walks, manually manipulates, reaches outward, lifts/carries 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls 25 pounds.

Education/Experience:

  • Athletic / sports experience preferred

Environment Demands:

  • Primarily works and trains outdoors.
