Piping Supervisor – Aviation Fuel Infrastructure Project | Libya
ISS International S.p.A. is currently looking for an experienced Piping Supervisor to join an international EPC construction project based in Misrata, Libya
The project involves the construction of aviation fuel distribution and aircraft refuelling infrastructure, including underground and above-ground piping networks, mechanical equipment and associated safety and monitoring systems.
The selected professional will supervise piping construction activities at site, ensuring that installation, welding, inspection, testing and reinstatement activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality requirements and HSE procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Supervise piping fabrication, erection and installation activities;
Coordinate piping subcontractors, foremen and site personnel;
Verify compliance with approved P&IDs, isometric drawings, layouts and project specifications;
Monitor welding, fit-up, NDT, hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement and mechanical completion activities;
Ensure material identification, preservation and traceability at site;
Coordinate daily activities with Construction, QA/QC, HSE and other disciplines;
Monitor work progress and report potential delays, constraints or technical issues;
Support the preparation and completion of test packs, punch lists and mechanical completion dossiers;
Ensure that all activities are performed safely and in accordance with the approved construction sequence;
Support the Construction Manager during progress meetings and subcontractor coordination activities.
Main Requirements
Proven experience as Piping Supervisor on EPC construction projects within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, fuel storage, terminals, pipelines or similar industrial sectors;
Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, welding, NDT and pressure-testing activities;
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, general arrangements and technical specifications;
Familiarity with mechanical completion, test packs, punch-list management and construction quality documentation;
Experience in the supervision and coordination of piping subcontractors and multinational site teams;
Previous experience with fuel distribution systems, airport fuel facilities or underground piping networks will be considered an advantage;
Good knowledge of HSE requirements applicable to construction sites;
Good command of English;
Knowledge of French will be considered an advantage, also in view of potential future assignments in North Africa;
Availability to work on a rotational basis in Libya;
Citizenship of an EU Member State is mandatory due to project-specific mobilization and security requirements.
Location: Misrata, Libya
Expected starting date: September 2026
Initial assignment: until 31 December 2026
Future opportunities: the project is expected to continue through subsequent construction phases, which may offer opportunities for further mobilization or re-engagement
Working schedule: 10 worked hours per day – 6 days per week
Rotation: 60 days ON / 10 days OFF, inclusive of travelling days
Accommodation: single accommodation provided at site or within a dedicated compound
Transportation: secured local transportation provided
Air tickets: round-trip air tickets provided in accordance with the project rotation
