We are seeking a skilled and experienced Piping Superintendent to lead and oversee all piping activities on commercial construction sites. This role is responsible for supervising crews, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all piping installation activities on commercial construction projects.
  • Interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper installation and system performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes, project requirements, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to streamline workflow and avoid conflicts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work schedules, track progress, and adjust manpower as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to uphold quality assurance and safety compliance.
  • Monitor labor productivity and material usage to control costs and meet project deadlines.
  • Lead daily safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to job site safety protocols.
  • Resolve field issues quickly and professionally to minimize project disruptions.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records, including daily reports, timekeeping, and material tracking.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Minimum 8 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing/piping trade.
  • Minimum 4 years of proven supervisory experience in commercial mechanical construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary systems, and medical gas installations.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret piping blueprints, specifications, and related trade documents.
  • Familiarity with major mechanical trades and their associated drawings and installation practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise multiple foremen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, direct field crews, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
