The role

The Piping Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate piping and mechanical drawings, developing 3D plant models, producing material take-offs, and maintaining project documentation from design through construction. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial plant drafting within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or engineering consulting industries and is proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D and related drafting software.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings, piping isometrics, layouts, and specifications for piping systems and mechanical equipment based on engineering designs, sketches, and project requirements.
  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D and other relevant drafting software, including:
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
    • Plot Plans
    • Equipment Layouts
    • Piping Layouts
    • Piping Isometrics
    • Material Take-Offs (MTO)
  • Produce accurate As-Built drawings of existing industrial plants during project downtimes and after construction completion.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings accurately reflect engineering designs and are construction-ready.
  • Conduct site inspections, plant assessments, and field measurements to validate existing conditions and support drafting activities.
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Material Take-Offs (MTO) directly from approved engineering models and layouts.
  • Revise drawings based on field changes, engineering updates, and construction feedback while maintaining master drafting files.
  • Assist construction and operations teams by addressing drawing-related inquiries and incorporating approved site modifications into project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, drawing revisions, and engineering records in accordance with company standards.
  • Submit daily accomplishment reports and project updates to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, drafting practices, safety requirements, and project specifications.

What we're looking for:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Technical Drafting, Associate Degree in Architecture, or relevant TESDA NC II/III CAD/Drafting Certification A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Piping Draftsman within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Processing, Industrial Plants, or Engineering Design Consulting industries.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D and other CAD software for industrial plant drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Piping Isometrics
    • P&IDs
    • Plot Plans
    • Equipment Layouts
    • Piping Layouts
    • Mechanical Equipment Drafting
  • Demonstrated ability to translate engineering concepts, sketches, and calculations into accurate 2D drawings and 3D plant models.
  • Experience generating accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) from CAD models.
  • Familiarity with industrial piping components, valves, fittings, pumps, vessels, blowers, and related mechanical equipment.
  • Experience conducting site measurements, plant inspections, and field verification activities.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
  • Willing to work primarily onsite in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) with occasional fieldwork at project sites.
