Job Description

Are you an experienced Piping Designer with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering designs? We are looking for a skilled professional to join our engineering team and support the successful execution of projects by developing accurate piping designs, 3D models, fabrication drawings, and material take-offs. If you have extensive experience in mechanical drafting and are proficient in industry-standard design software, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare basic design drawings based on client requirements, applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Develop 3D models for feasibility studies, basic engineering, and detailed design.
• Prepare material specifications for piping systems.
• Produce Piping General Arrangement (GA), Isometric, and Pipe Support drawings.
• Generate 3D model clash reports and coordinate clash resolution.
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for estimation purposes.
• Develop fabrication drawings to support production activities.
• Review client specifications and design input documents.
• Review drawings received from vendors and subcontractors for compliance and accuracy.
• Resolve technical queries and provide clarifications to the production team.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of issued drawings for future retrieval.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical Qualification: Strong design and drafting skills with expertise in 3D modelling.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with 10–12 years preferred in piping design and drafting.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx/SP3D (or equivalent 3D design software), and Microsoft Office.
• Skills & Abilities: Sound knowledge of piping design principles, engineering standards, fabrication drawings, material specifications, MTO preparation, and excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with engineering, production, clients, and subcontractors.
• Language: Good command of English.
