We are seeking a highly experienced Piping Design Checker to join at our Ahmedabad Center. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in reviewing, validating, and ensuring the quality and compliance of piping design deliverables for large-scale engineering projects across Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical, and related sectors.

This role requires excellent technical judgment, strong familiarity with international design codes, and the ability to mentor and guide design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive checks of piping design deliverables including:
  • Piping layout drawings
  • Isometric drawings
  • Equipment layouts
  • Piping GA & support drawings
  • MTOs
• Ensure designs comply with:
  • Project specifications
  • International codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.)
  • Safety and quality requirements
• Coordinate closely with the Piping Design Lead, Engineers, and Modelers to resolve design issues.
• Review 3D models (PDMS/E3D/SP3D) and ensure consistency between model and deliverables.
• Identify clashes, design gaps, and constructability issues and propose corrective actions.
• Validate pipe routing, stress-critical lines, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Support team members by providing technical guidance and ensuring best design practices.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide expert technical inputs.
• Ensure timely checking and approval of deliverables to meet project schedules

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Piping engineering principles
  • International design codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ANSI, ASTM, etc.)
  • Piping components, materials, specifications, and fabrication practices
• Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as E3D, PDMS, SP3D, and 2D tools like AutoCAD / MicroStation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to mentor junior designers and reviewers.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional background.
• Minimum 20+ years of hands-on experience in Piping Design and Checking.
