Duration: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Flexible Time Zones | Occasional Travel (once every six months)

About the Role:

Our client, a global leader in advanced energy and nuclear technology, is seeking two experienced Piping Analysis Engineers to join their Mechanical Analysis Team These engineers will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and compliance of nuclear reactor systems and components.

This is a highly technical position requiring a deep understanding of ASME Section III standards, piping design, and stress analysis principles. One engineer will perform the analyses, while the other will serve as a verifier to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform piping and pipe support design and analysis in alignment with ASME Section III and other industry standards.

  • Conduct stress, fatigue, fracture, and seismic/vibrational analyses for Class 1 piping systems.

  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation and reports for regulatory and customer review.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, civil/structural, containment, and fuels engineering.

  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring to junior engineers.

  • Support procurement, quality, and subcontracting activities as needed.

  • Apply lean engineering and design-to-cost principles to improve process efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).

  • 5-10 years of experience in piping or pipe support design and analysis.

  • Proven nuclear industry background (required).

  • Deep understanding of ASME Section III (NB, NC/ND, NF) and fatigue design per Class 1 requirements.

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following software tools: PIPESTRESS, AutoPIPE, Caesar II, or GT STRUDL.

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience automating or scripting engineering analysis workflows.

  • Prior involvement in DOE/DOD or nuclear utility projects

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and facilitate technical discussions.
