Visual Requirements: Must be able to pass a Standard Jaeger’s Test chart for near vision acuity reading J1 letters or equivalent with or without corrective aids and pass a color vision test using Ishihara’s Tests for Color Deficiency.
This position reports to shop supervisor. This position develops and maintains a positive working relationship with other Welders and supports a team approach in the pursuit of common company goals.
Responsible for effective, efficient and safe accomplishment of all assigned tasks.

Vision requirements: The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach or performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature. Regular, reliable attendance on-site is an essential function of the job. Must be willing to travel. Must be able to access all work locations, including government and private shipyards and/or vessels. Occasional weekend work and / or extended hours. Must possess or be able to promptly obtain a valid passport. May require up to 30% travel to include international.
