Job Description

Safely perform the construction, maintenance and operations activities for all assigned pipeline, compressor, production, gathering and storage facilities. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Nothing in this job summary restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Pipeline Construction & Equipment Operator: (Journeyman $41.81/hour)

  • Knowledge of natural gas pipeline related maintenance and construction activities, processes and operations including related DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Two years of experience in the operation and transport of back-hoes, motor graders, dozer, sidebooms, cranes, large trucks and other pipeline construction equipment.
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • Possess or acquire a Class A commercial motor vehicle license with air brakes appropriate for the position within six months of employment and maintain CDL license.
  • Possess or acquire valid crane operator’s certification as required for this position.

Lead Pipeline Construction & Equipment Operator: ($43.32/hour)

In addition to the minimum qualifications of the Pipeline Construction & Equipment Operator position, Lead Operator minimums include:

  • Three years' experience as a Journeyman Pipeline Operator.
  • Five years’ experience in heavy equipment operation in digging, trenching and backfilling excavations on in-service utilities.
  • Qualified to excavate around pressurized gas pipelines and other in-service utilities.
  • Must have OEM approved training for in-service equipment utilized by the Company.
  • Successfully complete on the job training to correctly perform assigned work.
  • Possess and maintain a Class A commercial motor vehicle license with air brakes and tanker endorsement appropriate for the position.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment background and drug testing.
  • Subject to the company DOT
  • Frequent travel with overnight stays.
  • Must pass all requirements to become DOT operator qualified in assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to be certified to wear respirator if required to perform work.
  • Must be able to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Pipeline Construction & Equipment Operator: (Journeyman $41.81/hr)

  • Operate all equipment needed to perform construction, maintenance, and operations activities.
  • Perform all other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Lead Pipeline Construction & Equipment Operator: ($43.32)

In addition to the above job responsibilities, the Lead Operator is responsible for:

  • Set up in-service equipment to perform stopper and no blow work on various size lines, both new and existing fittings.
  • Coordinate construction sites and recognize and correct hazards, properly stage equipment/materials and verify work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Confidently and safely excavate around live utilities.
