About Us

Canoco Energy Services provides fabrication, construction, and maintenance services for industrial projects across Western Canada. Our Fort Saskatchewan fabrication shop is the core of our operations, supporting turnarounds, asset integrity work, and new construction.

We are currently seeking experienced Journeyman Pipefitters / Table Fitters to join our fabrication shop team in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

This position is primarily shop-based and is ideal for a Journeyman Pipefitter with strong bench and table-fitting experience who can confidently work from isometric drawings and fabricate piping assemblies accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bench and table fitting for piping fabrication.
• Lay out, fit, assemble, and fabricate piping systems and spools.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, technical drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Measure, cut, bevel, fit, and prepare pipe and fittings for welding.
• Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, tolerances, and fit-up prior to welding.
• Tack components as required to maintain accurate fit-up.
• Install and fit supports, valves, flanges, and related piping components.
• Perform material verification and quality checks throughout the fabrication process.
• Assist with hydro testing and other shop activities as required.
• Work closely with welders, supervisors, and other shop personnel to meet production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all Canoco safety procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• Journeyman Pipefitter certification required.
• Strong table-fitting / bench-fitting experience required.
• Previous experience working in a piping fabrication shop is strongly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and work from isometric drawings.
• Excellent measuring, layout, and pipe-fitting skills.
• Ability to work accurately and independently in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of piping components, fittings, flanges, and fabrication practices.
• Plasma table experience is considered an asset.
• Ironworking or structural fitting experience is considered an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
