What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a skilled Construction Pipefitter to join our dynamic Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) project team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing energy sustainability. What You’ll Do

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in pipefitting/welding at journeyman level or higher in industrial or commercial settings
  • Install new waste piping, water piping, compressed air piping, supports, racks, related panels, and devices
  • Work with various piping types, including copper, stainless steel, PVC, cast iron, and carbon steel
  • Use P&IDs, spool drawings, and shop drawings to plan work scopes, install improvements, and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform a wide variety of job scopes from planning and execution to cleanup and material handling
  • Display positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedback

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting all types of plumbing systems
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, shop and spool drawings, specifications, shop/fabrication drawings, and UPC codes
  • Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based on drawings or field observations and routing
  • Ability to produce as-built drawings for work perform to test and commission all work per Tesla procedures, building department codes
  • Ability to complete job scopes outside of normal core competencies as required
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety, with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Essential Physical Demands

  • Willingness to travel to other projects as needed
  • Ability to work at heights up to 80 ft.

Expected Compensation

$28.80 - $54.63/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
