Job Description

Are you a Journeyman / Apprentice Pipefitter looking for a long-term opportunity on a major industrial project?

At Ledcor, we take pride in safety, quality, and we’re looking for hardworking and reliable workers to join our team in Elk Valley Resources project.

The project is located in Elkford, BC

Essential Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, and bolting up, valves and fittings
  • Perform bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing
  • Execute rigging operations including lifting, hoisting, and positioning of pipe sections
  • Assemble and install piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
  • Working safely in a team environment such as working with a crew of pipefitters or working with a welder
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors
  • Safely working around heavy equipment in an active mine
  • Assembles and installs piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications
  • Working safely in a team environment such as working with a crew of pipefitters or working with a welder
  • Performs physically demanding tasks such as cutting openings for pipe while standing for extended periods of time and securing pipe in hard to reach areas

Requirements

  • Must have a Journeyperson Pipefitter certification or be a registered Pipefitter Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Experience in industrial construction or pipeline projects
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Good to have ESC Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform & Confined Space Entry tickets

Work Conditions

  • 14 days on / 7 days off shift schedule, working 10 hours per day
  • Travel allowance and camp accommodation premium provided
  • Site-based camp accommodations provided
  • Extended health and wellness benefits provided by CLAC
  • Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Weekly wage payments

Compensation

$28.80 - $48.00 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
