Job Title: Workshop Pipefitter

Location: Aberdeen

Start date: ASAP

Hours:10-12 hours per day | Monday to Friday

PAYE Rate: £22.00 per hour including holiday pay

Lodge allowance £60 per day worked

Duration: 3-6 months 

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Pipefitter to join our clients team in their workshop . The role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of stainless and carbon steel pipework ranging from 1 to 12 inches in diameter. The successful candidate will work in accordance with technical drawings, site specifications, and industry standards to ensure safe and efficient pipe systems on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and fabrication sketches.
• Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipe using hand and power tools.
• Install and secure pipe systems, supports, valves, and fittings.
• Fabricate pipe spools and install to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Carry out hot and cold work on stainless and carbon steel pipework (1"12").
• Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests to ensure system integrity.
• Work closely with welders, riggers, and other trades on-site to coordinate installation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Complete daily reports and liaise with supervisors on job progress.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a pipefitter in an industrial or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of stainless and carbon steel pipework (1"12").
• Ability to work from detailed technical drawings.
• Proficient in using pipefitting tools and machinery.
• Understanding of pressure testing and pipe system integrity checks.
• CSCS or equivalent (Required).
• NVQ Level 3 in Pipefitting or equivalent (Preferred).
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces if required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
