What's the purpose of the role?

The Pinterest Ads Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing paid media campaigns on Pinterest, with a clear focus on driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role where performance is everything — the ideal candidate knows how to turn platform strategy into measurable results through visually compelling, data-backed campaigns

What will I be doing?

  • Manage and optimize Pinterest Ads accounts end-to-end.
  • Plan, launch, and scale campaigns across traffic, conversions, catalog sales, and awareness objectives.
  • Build campaign structures including ad groups, targeting, and budget allocation.
  • Set up and maintain the Pinterest Tag and conversion tracking.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing, platform-native ad content.
  • Test creatives, audiences, and messaging to improve CTR, CPA, and ROAS.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics (impressions, CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS) to identify opportunities.
  • Deliver regular performance reports with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and refine audience strategies: interests, keywords, actalike, and retargeting.
  • Stay current with Pinterest trends, updates, and best practices

What are my deliverables?

  • Fully operational and optimized Pinterest Ads campaigns running against clear objectives.
  • Proper Pinterest Tag implementation and conversion tracking in place.
  • Regular performance reports with metrics, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Documented audience and keyword strategies, continuously refined based on data.
  • Creative testing frameworks with clear results and learnings.
  • Evidence of improved performance over time — lower CPA, higher ROAS, better CTR.
  • Campaign structures built for scale, with clear budget allocation and targeting logic.

What experience do I need to succeed?

  • Proven hands-on experience managing Pinterest Ads campaigns with measurable results — this is non-negotiable.
  • Strong understanding of paid social fundamentals: campaign structure, bidding, audience targeting, and optimization.
  • Experience setting up and managing conversion tracking, the Pinterest Tag, and attribution models.
  • The ability to read performance data, identify what's working (and what's not), and act on it quickly.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams and providing clear, data-driven direction.
  • Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail — you're managing multiple campaigns at once.

Nice to have:

  • Experience on other paid social platforms like Meta Ads or TikTok Ads.
  • Background in e-commerce and catalog-based campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and reporting dashboards.
  • Experience working in an agency or managing multiple accounts simultaneously.

What skills do I need to succeed?

  • Pinterest Ads expertise: know the platform inside out, from campaign setup to advanced optimization.
  • Analytical thinking: diving into data, spotting trends, and making informed decisions fast.
  • Creative judgment: evaluate ad creatives through a performance lens and give clear direction to designers.
  • Keyword and audience strategy: build and refine targeting that actually converts.
  • Testing mindset: run structured A/B tests and know how to extract actionable learnings from them.
  • Attention to detail — budgets, tracking, campaign settings — nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Communication skills: translate complex data into clear, concise reports for different audiences.
  • Self-management — as a fractional role, you need to be proactive, organized, and able to deliver without hand-holding.
  • Tech fluency: work with tools like Google Analytics, Slack, Google Workspace, and project management platforms.
  • Strong English-speaking proficiency
