Role Outline
To ensure inventory accuracy through continuous stock counting, investigation of variances, and maintenance of inventory records, supporting efficient warehouse operations and high levels of customer service.
Key Tasks/ Accountabilities
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to the inventory schedule.
• Perform physical stock counts of parts, tools, consumables, and equipment.
• Verify stock quantities against system records.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Reconcile physical stock with ERP/Warehouse Management System records.
• Prepare variance reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy levels.
• Monitor stock movements and ensure proper transaction processing.
• Verify that receipts, issues, transfers, and returns are accurately recorded.
• Capture count results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain inventory count records and audit trails.
• Generate and submit stock variance and cycle count reports.
• Adhere to company inventory control procedures and policies.
• Support internal and external inventory audits.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes.
• Assist with warehouse optimization and stock location accuracy.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing inventory losses.
Functional Experience
• 3 years of similar experience/ environment
• WMOS
Education / Qualification / Certification Requirements
• Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems
