
About the role
Mater South Brisbane is currently seeking two experienced Physiotherapists to join the Acute and Paediatric Physiotherapy team in a 6-month maximum-term, full-time position.
Based at Mater Mothers’ Hospitals, this role forms part of a highly skilled Allied Health team delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care across a broad range of acute inpatient and outpatient services. The successful candidate may be required to work across different Mater facilities, services and sites as needed.
The Acute and Paediatric Physiotherapy team provides specialist services across cardiorespiratory, medical, cystic fibrosis, surgical, oncology, breast surgery, lymphoedema, early inpatient rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation programs to primarily adult populations.
Salary range: $44.99 - $60.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy services across a diverse acute and outpatient caseload, supporting patients through every stage of their care journey. Working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will manage complex clinical presentations while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes across a broad range of specialty areas.
You will play an active role in shaping and improving the service through quality improvement initiatives, clinical education and the translation of research into practice. This role also offers the opportunity to mentor and support students, allied health assistants and junior clinicians, while continuing to grow your own clinical expertise within a supportive and progressive team environment.
About you
You will be an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with experience working in an acute healthcare setting and a passion for helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will be confident managing a varied caseload, working within multidisciplinary teams and delivering evidence-based care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
To be successful, you will hold a recognised Physiotherapy degree, current AHPRA registration and eligibility to obtain a Medicare provider number.
Acute hospital experience is strongly desirable, with intensive care experience highly regarded. We’re looking for someone who is positive, adaptable, solutions-focused and committed to ongoing learning and professional growth.
