As part of our team in Port Macquarie you have the opportunity to join an experienced multidisciplinary team alongside 7 therapists. A typical client caseload at CPA includes working with people living with Cerebral palsy and similar conditions in the majority with >70% being 0-18. As a senior member of theteamyou will be a mentor and support to others in your discipline as well as the broader Therapy team.

The Port Macquarie clinic is exceptionally well-resourced with 4 specialist treatment rooms, pool cars, ceiling hoists, eye-gaze technology, magic carpet, huge selection of toys, full switch kit (environmental access), wheelchair scale etc. Whilst the majority of your clients will be seen in the clinic (about 70%) we also visit some clients in their homes or community settings. We work on a ‘regional outreach’ model, meaning we service large community hubs in clustered blocks. The frequency of our visits varies, but we will service clients across Port Macquarie/Wauchope, Taree, Forster, Kempsey, and Coffs Harbour.

Port Macquarie is a major regional hub, you can get the flavour of a rural environment whilst still having with access to all necessary resources, lower property costs compared to other coastal towns, and almost no traffic/commute challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Evidence of current AHPRA registration

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
