RESPONSIBILITIES: SMCC is seeking a full-time faculty member in physics to teach descriptive, algebra and calculus based introductory physics courses. Chemistry and/or astronomy courses may also be assigned. Responsibilities include teaching five courses, or the equivalent, per semester; advising students; developing, modifying, and assessing the effectiveness of curricula; participating in department/college activities; committee work and college service, particularly activities that will enhance the academic life of the college; professional development activities, and other professional duties related to the position. Appointments begin at the Instructor level.
