This position is based in Mexico City within our Established Pharmaceuticals Operations Division, where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in some of the world's fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality, differentiated branded generic medicines spans multiple therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic care, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory health.

As a Physicochemical Analyst Chemist, you will perform activities such as evaluating the physicochemical conditions of samples including raw materials, process validation, cleaning validation, finished products, and stability studies. You will also execute analytical method validations, verifications, and transfers.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry (QFB), Pharmaceutical Chemistry (QFI), Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field. Professional license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in pharmaceutical companies or contract laboratories analyzing pharmaceutical products, including:
• Quality Control (finished products, stability studies, and raw materials)
• Analytical Development
• Analytical Method Validation
• Experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and software such as HPLC, among others.
• Advanced English: Technical level with the ability to read and understand analytical methodologies.
• Knowledge of:
• Analytical laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and software
• Liquid and Gas Chromatography
• Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
• LIMS
• Pharmacopoeias and their application
• Schedule: Availability to work rotating morning and evening shifts:
• Tuesday to Saturday: Morning and evening shifts
• Sunday to Thursday: Morning and evening shifts
• Saturday to Sunday: Morning shift
• TEMPORARY PROJECT: 12-MONTH ASSIGNMENT

What You'll Do

• Perform analyses using Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AA), and analyze raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
• Conduct analyses of purified water, rinse water, cleaning validation samples, and holding time samples.
• Analyze process validation samples, stability program samples, and holding time samples.
• Prepare statistical reports, perform mathematical calculations, and review results.
• Develop stability protocols, method verifications, method transfers, and execute the respective analyses, including results reporting and technical reports.
• Prepare change controls for updating and implementing methods and specifications for raw materials and finished products.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in operating physicochemical control equipment such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers (including AA), and related laboratory instruments.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and equipment operation manuals.
• Coordinate the shipment of imported product samples, stability samples, and raw materials to authorized third-party laboratories for analysis.
• Manage non-conformances, LIRs, and CAPA action plans.
